the job or who are interested in trying it out.  I welcome your suggestions and thoughts.  I envision turning this into an interactive community of families and businesses working together to break down the unnecessary walls that currently divide building our economy and raising our families.

I went live with this site in June, 2007.  In December, 2007, I founded the
Parenting in the Workplace Institute, a non-profit devoted to education and support of parenting-at-work programs, starting with babies in the workplace.

Lessons from Babies at Work

The success of babies-at-work programs reminds us that people have worked with their babies by their sides since the beginning of the human race.
They illustrate that, in spite of the perception of many in our society, it is not normal for babies to cry for long periods of time.  Most importantly, they prove that millions of today's jobs could successfully be done at the same time we parent our babies.

Letting parents bring their babies to
work is one of those ideas that may seem impossible.  After all, how could a modern, professional company possibly do business with a bunch of babies around?

But it turns out that in an age of computers and automation, and a time of globalization and fierce competition, companies who consider babies to be just part of a normal workday seem to have found the key to success.  In today's difficult economy, the real question is, why would a business not try an idea with such little cost and such large rewards?
